Procedures & Time Frame for Dominica Citizenship by Investment

Interview and Oath Requirements: Applicants and dependent family members aged 16 and older are required to attend virtual interviews through a secure platform. In addition, individuals must take an oath of allegiance in the presence of an authorized notary, justice of the peace, or commissioner of oaths. Once the pledge of allegiance is made, the application for citizenship goes through further processing, resulting in the issuance of citizenship certificates.

Residency and Economic Involvement: No physical residence requirement is needed. However, the government continually encourages the engagement of new citizens in the economy by providing attractive incentives to make it a more appealing choice. Successful applicants benefit from residing in Dominica at their convenience, without any restrictions on duration. If an applicant has been denied a visa to a country with a visa-free travel agreement with Dominica, they must obtain a visa from that country to be eligible to apply.

Processing Time: Applications are managed by the Citizenship by Investment Unit, a specialised government authority within the Ministry of Finance that oversees the program. Applications typically take around 3 months to process once we have received a fully completed application.
