Investment Options of the Latvia Residence by Investment Program
Option 1
- To receive a resident visa through the Latvia resident by Investment Programme, applicants must complete the following requirements:
1. Investment in Business
- Contribute EUR 50,000 into the equity capital of a Latvian firm that must pay at least EUR 40,000 in taxes each year.
2. State Contribution
- Make a one-time contribution of EUR 10,000 to the Latvian state budget.
3. Additional Requirements
- Applicants need to establish they have adequate income to support their family's living standards without relying on social support from the Latvian government:
- Single Applicant = EUR 15,480 per year
- Applicant and spouse = EUR 20,640 per year
- For married couple with one child = EUR 22,188 per year
- Alternatively, candidates can buy real estate in Latvia for at least EUR 250,000 and pay a 5% state fee.

Procedures & Time Frame of the Residence by Investment Program
Before submitting your documents for review by the Latvian government, Emirates Advisory will conduct comprehensive background and eligibility checks to ensure your investment meets all requirements for a smooth application process. This preliminary check is fully Confidential and Secure.
The government will review the application within 30 to 90 days. After approval of the application at the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, the applicant should visit Latvia within 3 months to collect their short-term residence permit. The validity of the residence permit is 5 years with the ID card’s annual renewal requirement.
Permanent Residence
To be eligible for Latvian Permanent Residence, an applicant must reside in the country for at least 5 years and know the Latvian language, general history, and national anthem.
Citizenship
After 10 years of residence, you are eligible for citizenship. There is no direct citizenship program by investment.
